Just for today, I will rise and greet the morning
Knowing God goes with me, come what may
Just for today, I will let my love shine through me
In marvelous, extraordinary ways
Just for today, I will love myself completely
I’ll even take some time to laugh and play
Just for today, I will look at people sweetly
And smile when I perceive them in my way
Just for today-------troubles will seem smaller
Compared to all the blessings in my life
Just for today-------I will walk a little taller
Put swagger in my sway just for today
Worries I will have but few
Confidence will be my point of view
Yesterday is gone and tomorrow will soon be too
Today I’ll see the present as eternal and new
Just for today, when someone asks a question
I’ll let spirit tell me what to say
Just for today, I’ll use my voice for singing
The glory of the Lord as I pray
Just for today----- troubles will seem lighter
Compared to all the blessings in my life
Just for today----- daylight will seem brighter
I won’t be a fighter
My halo will be whiter
My wrongs will all be “righter”
