GodiZin

You can hold your breath until you turn blue

Cross your fingers, cross your toes, too

There’s absolutely nothing that you can do

God is in

You can stomp your feet and count to ten

Switch from decaf to a darker blend

Doesn’t matter how hard you pretend

God is in

God is in - You can say that again

God is in - A hip, cool friend

God is in - Living under your skin

God is in - You

You can climb in your car and go for a ride

Jump in the ocean and swim against the tide

You can run but you can not hide

God is in

God is in - Did you just say zen?

God is in - Or was that “Goddess in”?

God is in - Living under your skin

God is in - You

You can seek some solace from the daily grind

Get in a corner and still your mind

Listen intently and you will find

God is in

God is in - All women men

God is in - It’s the Kingdom within

God is in - Living under your skin

God is in - You

I had just the chords... wonderfully bluesy chords...

It was one of my first experiences with Chuck: we had found each other through church and he had me come over to try out songs to play at church with a couple of other Classical Grass members.

They liked the chords so much, they “made me” go finish the song so we could play it at church at our next gig... rather than the song that I had finished writing. I am glad they did.

We all fish in the same stream: the idea that “God Is In” can sound like other phrases - I am sure I picked that up somewhere while “in the water”.

We used “GodiZin” as a shortcut so much during recording and mixing that the name just stuck.

“Space Sounds”, you ask? Yes. Actual sounds from actual space!
